Decatur County, Indiana (July 24, 2026) – Two people were killed, and a third was seriously injured in a crash on the 5,000 block of North Old U.S. 421 in Decatur County Friday morning, according to the Decatur County Sheriff’s Office.
The road was shut down while investigators worked the scene. Sheriff Bill Meyerrose asked drivers to avoid the area and use an alternate route.
The injured person was airlifted to an Indianapolis hospital. The names of those involved have not been released, pending notification of family members.
