Indianapolis, IN (July 27, 2026) – A hit-and-run crash involving several vehicles sent a pickup truck off the roadway and into a home in the 7000 block of Portland Square, near Michigan and Westlane roads, according to the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department.
Officers were called to the scene just before 5 p.m. on July 27 after reports of a crash and a structure collapse. IMPD said the crash occurred along the roadway and involved several vehicles.
Investigators preliminarily believe at least one of the vehicles fled the scene after the collision. The pickup truck left the roadway separately and crashed through a brick wall into a nearby home.
At least one person was taken to a local hospital. IMPD listed that person in stable condition. It has not been confirmed whether the injured person was a driver or a passenger in the crash.
No other information was immediately available.
