A Lifetime Of Learning
Striving to be successful in life has taught our attorneys one thing: You can never stop learning. At Langer & Langer, our lawyers believe that a strong practice starts with a strong foundation in legal knowledge and a commitment to making learning a career-long pursuit. Our Indiana attorneys gained the skills and understanding they need to effectively fight for our clients through lifetimes of experience and dedication.
Like at many Indiana law firms, our attorneys at Langer & Langer are committed to reading journals, attending conferences and connecting with other attorneys to acquire more information throughout their careers. Beyond that, though, our lawyers are committed to giving back to the community and teaching others. As part of that commitment, they share what they learn with other lawyers by serving as faculty to teach continuing legal education classes throughout Indiana, participating in leadership roles in national organizations and publishing articles.
Attorneys learn to handle themselves in the courtroom. They learn how juries work. They learn how to handle objections. Lawyers learn how to handle evidence, stay calm under fire and dig deep for the truth.
It is through courtroom experience that they learn how to tell a client’s story in the most persuasive manner possible. When you retain our legal team, you will have some of Indiana’s top trial lawyers working to help you win.
Our Indiana Lawyers Are Committed To Giving Back To Our Community
Our attorneys’ father and mother taught them the importance of giving back. This was one of the most meaningful lessons they learned growing up in Valparaiso, and it is a lesson that stays with them today.
Their family owned a store in town, and they would see families who had gone through tough times, such as experiencing a fire or just having a hard season on the farm. Their dad would take those families through the store and give them groceries and, sometimes, even new clothes for the entire family. He never talked about it; he just did it. It was just him being a part of the community.
These days, our lawyers’ family doesn’t own a store, but they’ve learned to give back in other ways. Whether it involves joining a personal passion project like Lakeshore PAWS, an organization that Michael and Kim Langer provided volunteer services to, or creating a reading foundation that changes the way reading is taught in our community, as Steve and Diana Langer did, the principle is the same: Our attorneys are committed to the community, so they’re committed to giving back.
Lakeshore PAWS: Kim Freeman-Langer was instrumental in starting Lakeshore PAWS in Valparaiso, Indiana. Mike Langer does all the legal work pro bono. This is a picture of Mike and Kim Langer in front of the kennel they sponsored.
United Way Day of Caring: Some of our employees bagged and tagged stuffed animals that will be going to schools to increase children’s motivation to read as well as their oral fluency.
Family & Youth Services Bureau: Our team at Langer & Langer participated in Chalk the Walk, a family-friendly community event.
Langer & Langer participates in the Hounds About Town contest sponsored by the Porter County Animal Shelter.
