Fort Wayne, IN (September 13, 2026) – Northbound Interstate 69 was shut down for hours Sunday afternoon after a semi-truck overturned near the Airport Expressway exit, according to Fort Wayne Dispatch.
The crash happened around 4:15 p.m. near mile marker 299 on I-69, just south of the Airport Expressway. Footage from the Indiana Department of Transportation’s TrafficWise cameras showed another vehicle involved in the collision. Fort Wayne Dispatch confirmed the roadway was closed and was not expected to reopen for several hours, with the nearby exit ramp also shut down while police and medics worked the scene.
On the afternoon of September 13, traffic backed up for miles as crews worked to clear the overturned trailer from the northbound lanes. It has not been determined whether anyone was injured in the crash.
