Our Indiana Lawyers Are Committed To Giving Back To Our Community

Our attorneys’ father and mother taught them the importance of giving back. This was one of the most meaningful lessons they learned growing up in Valparaiso, and it is a lesson that stays with them today.

Their family owned a store in town, and they would see families who had gone through tough times, such as experiencing a fire or just having a hard season on the farm. Their dad would take those families through the store and give them groceries and, sometimes, even new clothes for the entire family. He never talked about it; he just did it. It was just him being a part of the community.

These days, our lawyers’ family doesn’t own a store, but they’ve learned to give back in other ways. Whether it involves joining a personal passion project like Lakeshore PAWS, an organization that Michael and Kim Langer provided volunteer services to, or creating a reading foundation that changes the way reading is taught in our community, as Steve and Diana Langer did, the principle is the same: Our attorneys are committed to the community, so they are committed to giving back.

Continuing A Legacy Of Community Involvement And Support

We believe in the power of community and the importance of giving back to the place that has supported our firm’s growth and success. Our attorneys actively engage in community service and support local initiatives that enhance the well-being of our fellow residents.

At Langer & Langer, we are proud to support numerous organizations and causes in Northwestern Indiana, including:

  • Lakeshore PAWS: Kim Freeman-Langer was instrumental in starting Lakeshore PAWS in Valparaiso, Indiana. Mike Langer does all the legal work pro bono.
  • United Way Day of Caring: Some of our employees bagged and tagged stuffed animals that will be going to schools to increase children’s motivation to read as well as their oral fluency.
  • Family and Youth Services Bureau: Our team at Langer & Langer participated in Chalk the Walk, a family-friendly community event.
  • Langer & Langer participates in the Hounds About Town contest sponsored by the Porter County Animal Shelter.

Our lawyers are committed to making a positive impact in Valparaiso and the surrounding areas. Our dedication extends beyond the courtroom; it is woven into the very fabric of our community involvement, reflecting our belief that strong communities are built on the foundation of mutual support and cooperation.
