Tara joined Langer & Langer as an attorney in 2005 and represents clients seriously injured as the result of personal injury, medical negligence, vehicle crashes, and other types of negligent conduct. From 2012 through 2017, Tara has been named in Rising Stars℠ by Indiana Super Lawyers® Magazine. Tara is also a graduate of the Indianapolis Bar Association’s Bar Leadership Series Class of XII, 2014 – 2015.
In 2010, she received the “Max Goodwin Young Lawyer of the Year Award,” the highest honor that can be given to a young lawyer by the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association for her dedication to protecting the rights of injured people, her devotion to community and helping to advance Indiana Law in a positive direction for Indiana residents. In 2012, she received the “President’s Award” from the Zionsville Lions Club for her service to the local community. In 2011, Tara was named as one of Indiana Lawyer’s “Up and Coming Lawyers.”
Tara is actively involved in the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association (ITLA), serving on its Board of Directors since March 2010 and as chair of its Amicus Committee since May 2015. Tara served as co-editor of ITLA’s Case Appellate Reporter from 2008 to February 2012 and has received three appreciation awards from ITLA for her volunteer efforts in authoring Amicus briefs on issues important to Indiana victims of medical negligence. She has also organized volunteer efforts with Gleaner’s Food Bank on behalf of ITLA’s Young Lawyers Section.
Tara and her husband, Mark, served as a “Big Couple” through Big Brothers Big Sisters to an Indianapolis boy from February 2009 through 2012 while they lived in the Indianapolis area, and enjoyed giving back to the community through their volunteer efforts with the Zionsville Lions Club. In the past, Tara has served as the Membership Director, 1st Vice President, 2nd Vice President for the Zionsville Lions Club. She also chaired the EGGnormous Egg Hunt from 2011 – 2014. When not working, Tara and Mark enjoy spending time with their son, Nick. Tara also enjoys volunteer work, travel, golf, and home improvement projects.
Tara received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Public Health in 2002 from Indiana University and received her Juris Doctorate from Valparaiso University School of Law in 2005, where she received course honors in Professional Ethics and Trial Practice. Tara is also a member of the American Association for Justice, American Bar Association, Indiana State Bar Association, and Indianapolis Bar Association where she has participated in “Ask a Lawyer” and “Why Lincoln was a Lawyer” programs.
