Angeles National Forest, CA (Nov 6, 2025) – One person died Thursday morning after a car careened off a cliff in the Angeles National Forest, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD).
The crash was reported shortly before 8 a.m., when a county worker spotted a vehicle leaning over a cliff in the area of Chantry Flats Road, near the Santa Anita Dam. Emergency personnel responded to the scene, where one individual was found dead at the location.
Search and rescue teams conducted a thorough check of the hillside to ensure no other victims were involved.
The identity of the deceased, believed to be the driver, has not been released, and LASD is investigating the cause of the crash.
