Logansport, NV (Dec 26, 2025) – A 78-year-old man from Westpoint was killed Friday afternoon in a two-vehicle collision south of Logansport. Kenneth Miller was driving a 2017 Nissan Rogue on the U.S. 24 ramp when he reportedly failed to yield to a southbound Ford Transit van on State Road 29.
The impact caused substantial damage to both vehicles around 2:00 p.m. Miller was taken to Parkview Logansport Hospital for an emergency airlift, but he passed away before the flight could begin.
The 39-year-old driver of the van, a man from Romeoville, Illinois, was not injured and refused medical treatment. Authorities closed the roadway for nearly two hours to investigate the scene and clear debris.
Car Accidents in Indiana, IN
Fatal collisions at highway ramps often involve complex questions of right-of-way and merging safety. In Indiana, victims or their families generally have two years to file a legal claim for damages. This deadline is much shorter if the accident involves a government vehicle or a state-maintained road hazard.
You must act quickly to save evidence like crash data and witness statements. Even if a driver is partially at fault, Indiana’s “modified comparative negligence” law may still allow for a recovery.
